| High hopes for 10th CIFIT |

More than 145 foreign companies and exhibitors from 57 nations and regions from around the world have so far promised to participate in the upcoming China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT).
The fair will take place in the coastal city of Xiamen in September this year.
Addressing a press conference last week, Shen Shunwen, director of the Organizing Committee of Exhibiting Affairs of CIFIT, said the overseas participants mainly come from Europe, North America, Japan, Southeast Asia, Africa, as well as China's Taiwan Province, Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions.
The overseas participants' exhibition area will be expanded to satisfy the rising demand to exhibit their projects at the fair, Shen said.
"The foreign business representatives will display more than 1,420 projects, seeking international co-operation during the event," Shen said.
Shen believed more foreign participants will be attracted to the trade and investment event that annually opens in the port city of Xiamen in East China's Fujian Province.
The organizers of CIFIT have sent more than 4,000 invitations to 200 big name foreign companies and groups since the beginning of the year.
Shen said preparation work for the upcoming 10th CIFIT is currently well underway. He promised this year's event would open on September 8 as scheduled.
Domestic participants have also indicated their great interest in seeking trade and investment opportunities at CIFIT （Website: www.chinafair.org.cn）.
